Katy's birthday....

Just had a lovely weekend for Kate's birthday: shopping in Guildford on Sat - I think I bought more than Katy!! And Laura joined us for a leisurely lunch in pizza express. Then down to the Minnow in the evening and back to Kate & Dunc's for chocolate cake and games.....we had a good laugh: TonyTed, Fred, Fred First, Claribelle, Duchess, Hunky Dunc and Kate......
And it was Foxhills for Sunday lunch, plenty of red wine, resulting in a snooze in the afternoon!!!

Where does the time go???

I can't believe that my last entry was at the end of September, and now it's late October already - what have I been doing? where has the time gone??
Let me think... Gerwyn's nephew was 3 on 2nd October, so we went round to see him in Walton, and went to a local fun fair.... Henry kept crying when he went on the rides - he was ok, until they started moving!! Gerwyn convinced me (against my better judgement) to go on something that span round and round and went up and down - I wasn't crying, but I felt very queasy and it took me a few hours to recover - I won't be doing that again in a hurry!!
I went to the Silver Ski office on the 4th, to get a better idea of how they work, and have also been for a couple of interviews for Summer jobs.... Headwater (cycling and walking holidays) and Scott Dunn (posh catered villas) - both potentials, but we won't know for a while as it's a bit early... but needed to get the interviews done whilst we're still in the UK!
Claire H did one of her fab pub quizes last week - the boys one, but only just!
My hair dressing course is now complete..... so if anyone needs a cut, I'm happy to give it a go - however now there will be no qualified professional to give it the once over afterwards... humm, I think Duncan will be even more reluctant to volunteer than before! Styling ladies hair starts in 2 weeks, but we're only going to be shown a very basic trim, as there are too many different cuts to learn in 4 weeks!

It's Kate's birthday tomorrow, so shopping and then Foxhills on sunday - yummy yummy!
